Quilted Diamonds Bangle: Inspired by the Quilt Festival in Sisters Oregon, this double thickness bangle drops stitches into the work to resemble quilting. Diane calls her new technique "Quilted Peyote."
This spring, Diane became a Certified Zentangle® Teacher (CTZ); you can Google "Zentangle®" to learn more about this creative art form. Zentangle® is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. This project will be taught as a 6-hour, intermediate skill level class at the Rocky Mountain Bead Society Bazaar this coming April; students will learn to create a unique 3½ ”x 3½ ” tile using the Zentangle® method. Using the same basic approach, students will design a peyote graph. From the graph, students will translate the design into a beaded cuff or bangle using “quilted peyote,” a beading technique developed by the instructor.
